This is a personal project built by me, so I'm going to keep this privacy policy straightforward.

The short version

Your data is private to the best of my abilities as a veteran of a couple of decades in the web space. I won't sell it, share it, trade it, or give it to anyone else.

What I collect

To make this works, I no need to store some things:

• Your name and email (so you can log in)
• Your wishlist items (that's kind of the whole point)
• Your friends list
• Purchase records (so people don't accidentally buy the same gift twice)

That's pretty much it.

What I don't do

• Sell your data to third parties
• Share your information with advertisers
• Use your data for targeted advertising
• Hand over your info to data brokers
• Do anything sketchy with your personal information

Who can see your stuff?

Your wishlist is only visible to people you've added as friends. Random strangers can't stumble across your gift ideas. Your purchase history (what you've bought for others) is completely private — only you can see it.

Cookies & tracking

I use cookies to keep you logged in. All are essential for the site to work.

Data security

I take reasonable steps to keep your data safe and secure. That said, no system is 100% bulletproof. But I do my best to protect your information and will let you know if anything ever goes sideways.

Deleting your data

Want out? You can delete your account and I'll remove your data. You'll be able to do this through your profile settings.

Changes to this policy

If I ever need to update this policy, I'll do my best to let you know. But honestly, my stance on privacy isn't going to change.
